CORNWALL ROAD RUNNING & RACING GROUP
Road running in Cornwall is at present experiencing a real boom period.
During the past couple of years, most races have attracted record fields, and
such is their popularity that limits on the number of runners taking part have
had to be introduced. This is in no small way due to the high standards of all
round organisation at these events. This has not happened overnight.
The Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group was set up in 2001 to, basically,
oversee the sport in Cornwall. The group comprises representatives of all of
Cornwall's affiliated running clubs, together with the organisers of any event
in the County that is not actually organised by one of those clubs. The Group
meets quarterly and any individual is free to attend.
